Chickens are
arguably the most abused animals on the planet. In the United
States alone, more than 7 billion chickens are killed for their flesh each year.
That means more chickens are raised and killed for food than all other land
animals combined, yet not a single federal law protects chickens from abuse.

It’s estimated that more chicken wings are consumed on Super
Bowl Sunday than any other day of the year. That’s why this year we’re turning
the tables and putting chickens in the spotlight by searching for PETA’s
Champion Chicken.

Chickens
need their wings more than you do! It’s never too early to plan your Super Bowl Sunday menu. Choose cruelty-free fare for yourself and your friends this year. Check out our top picks for products and delicious recipes to get started!

If you have rescued
a chicken and spared him or her from a place on the dinner table, tell us your
rescue story for a chance at winning your bird friend the title of PETA’s
Champion Chicken!

Use
the form below to submit your chicken’s photo and story by January 25, and we’ll notify
the winning chicken’s guardian by February 1. One winning chicken, who will be chosen based on how
compelling the rescue story is, will be featured on our website, and the
chicken’s guardian will receive a PETA
T-shirt
and a framed certificate. No purchase necessary. Void where
prohibited by law.
