Guillotines, hot irons, bone saws,
sharp wires, electric dehorners … what do all these things have in common? They
are all used in the production of milk products!

Confused? Dairy farms use the above
tools to dehorn cattle, a painful procedure in which calves and cattle have their horns and horn buds
cut off. That’s right—cows have their horns literally BURNED
or CHOPPED OFF. These barbaric procedures are excruciatingly painful.

Don’t believe me? Want to see for
yourself? OK, but be warned that the following images are graphic and difficult
to look at.

These photos show exactly how painful and disturbing the
process of dehorning is. If a human had that kind of gaping, bloody wound, he
or she would be rushed to the hospital. However, these cattle are just left to
suffer without any painkillers or veterinary care whatsoever.

The number one thing you can do to
help save cows from this horrific procedure is to stop buying dairy products.
Show the dairy industry that you do not support the cruel process of dehorning.
