One of the more common sights in India is that of a bullock who is trudging along in the heat, straining under a heavy yoke to pull an overloaded, poorly balanced cart. These gentle animals often suffer from dehydration, untreated sores, muscle strain, and even beatings.
Since 2003, Animal Rahat has been giving relief to these and other animals. The program is run by a dedicated staff of veterinarians, their assistants, animal caretakers, and a full-time community educator. Now they are looking to add 50,000 square feet for the construction of a new retirement facility that will offer a permanent home to many of the lame, sick, and injured bullocks the program helps care for.
By making a sponsorship gift today, you can help Animal Rahat meet its $100,000 goal and begin construction of this important addition to its work. Every sponsorship gift of 50 square feet or more will mean that your name will be specially recognized at this new facility once it’s completed.
Please help working animals in India—the land where PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk spent much of her childhood—and make her birthday wish come true by making a sponsorship gift right now.
PETA offers this donation form as a service to Animal Rahat. Your entire donation will be directed to Animal Rahat to help the working animals of India.
