The 2014 Telly Awards has named The Humane Society of the United States as the recipient of three awards. Each year, the Telly Awards honors outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films.

The HSUS’ videos What a Heroic Investigator Did for One Pig and Heartwarming Rescue Stories from the Philippines both received 2014 Silver Awards in the Internet/Online Video – Social Responsibility category. This award is presented to online video productions created for promoting social issues. Another HSUS video, Seals Need Our Help, won the 2014 Bronze Award for Internet/Online Video – Animation, a special category that only considers the animation used in the piece.

A panel of accomplished industry professionals judged the competition, which had nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries. The Silver Council evaluates entries to recognize distinction in creative work and judges the entries against a high standard of merit. Less than 10 percent of entries are chosen as winners of a Silver Telly, the highest honor.
