More than 100 attendees participated in seminars on enforcing requirements for high volume dog breeding facilities under the Commercial Dog Breeders Act. Participants represented several county enforcement agencies, veterinarians and animal care agents.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed SB 130, which regulates certain dog breeding kennels and dog retailers, into law on Dec. 11, 2012.

The seminars, held in three locations across the state, were hosted by The Humane Society of the United States, the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Ohio Federated Humane Societies. All attendees received a printed copy of the 2014 edition of Ohio Animal Law book.
