Michael Vickers of West Sussex is the winner of this year’s World of Animals photo contest.

Michael’s stunning photograph of a tiger was shortlisted from all of the beautiful images received from around the world and then selected by IFAW supporters online.

Michael says he has always been an animal lover. His family home was never without a much-loved cat, which developed into a life-long passion for big cats and particularly tigers.

Michael has been such a long-term and loyal supporter of IFAW for more than 35 years primarily because of our work to save the last of the world’s tigers as well as our efforts to save individual animals, animal populations and wildlife habitats.

The photo will be featured in IFAW’s 2016 World of Animals calendar.

If you are interested in making a submission for the next contest, stay tuned for the announcement of it in the next World of Animals with a deadline in March 2016.
