She had heard about the Lilayi Elephant Nursery of the Elephant Orphanage Project (EOP) and wanted to pay a visit with her band and entourage.

Stone was taken on a behind-the-scenes tour where she saw the elephant orphans in the bush and heard about their stories.

She also got to meet the keepers who are caring for these vulnerable creatures. She was very impressed with how EOP works to rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned elephants back into the wild.

Stone is passionate about conservation and wildlife. “Seeing the orphaned elephants at the Lilayi Elephant Nursery was a strong reminder of the poaching threat against Zambia’s elephants. We all need to come together to protect these beautiful animals,” said Stone.
