Dog Set on Fire After Being Hung

(Wayne County, MI) Kristian Dennard Jackson Decarlos Lashawn Young are facing criminal charges related to the alleged gross abuse of a pitbull in August 2010. They allegedly set the young dog on fire after a failed attempt at hanging her to death. A bystander was reportedly able to videotape this terrible incident with a cell phone camera. Investigators were unable to recover the dog’s body, it is believed that her remains were discarded in the trash and hauled away.

Such cruelty, and indeed the expanse of criminal activity that accompanies dogfighting, demands meaningful justice from the criminal courts, and local citizens are encouraged to actively show their support for this important prosecution.

  1. Locals are encouraged to support the prosecution by attending the criminal proceedings. A pretrial hearing is currently scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 801.
